George Aye
Industrial Designer

After graduating in 1998 with a Bachelors in Engineering Design
Visualization, George worked in several design consultancies in London
before joining a boutique image making company called Solid State
Ind. Ltd.,
that produced computer generated photographic still renderings for
advertising. While at Solid, he worked as a modeling, rendering and
lighting
artist. The company's work often ran on 48 sheet billboards advertising
campaigns.
In 2001 George moved to Chicago to join the Industrial Design group
at IDEO
Chicago, led by Martin Thaler. He has been involved in a great variety
of
projects some of which include; a range of new laptops for a US based
PC
maker; a new wireless microphone design language for a leading microphone
manufacturer, including their new consumer level wireless receiver;
a new
slide carrier and scanning station for a start up medical company
working
with nano-scale research technology.

Yves Béhar

Yves Béhar, design principal and founder of fuseproject, is
a multi-award winning industrial designer who enjoys working across
a wide array of disciplines as diverse as personal care, fashion,
sports, cosmetics, furniture, technology and transportation. His work
has been internationally recognized in museums and competitions alike,
including awards from the IDSA, Businessweek, ID Magazine and If Industrie
Hanover; and exhibits in the Cooper Hewitt Museum NY, the San Francisco
Museum of Modern Art, the Chicago Athenaeum Museum and the Munich
Museum of Applied Arts.
Béhar is interested in developing lasting experiences. He
uses design as a tool to create exciting stories and takes a long-term
strategic approach developing and enhancing brands through qualities
communicated by a product’s design. Béhar’s recent
projects include: perfume bottles for scent001 and perfume09, shoes
for Birkenstock, personal care products for Philou, technology products
for HP, a cashmere Teflon coated sweater for Lutz & Patmos,
products for NIKE and Herman Miller, as well as a variety of experimental
projects for the SFMOMA, Surface Magazine and Dwell Magazine
Yves Béhar studied industrial design in Europe and the US,
and holds a B.S. of Industrial Design from the Art Center College
of Design

Thomas Heermann

Thomas Heermann is Product Manager at Alias|Wavefront, responsible
for the StudioTools family of industrial design software programs.
Heermann has been involved in the design and surface modeling software
industry for eight years, holding marketing and management positions
with Alias|Wavefront and ICEM Technologies. He holds a degree in
Engineering and Management from FHTE of Esslingen, Germany.

Peter Pfanner

Peter
Pfanner is a designer, design manager and design strategist with over
15 years experience working at corporations such as ACCO and Motorola
and consultancies such as IDEO, Pentagram and HFID.
He is currently
the Director of Global Design Integration at Motorola where his
work is focused on Design Integration, Design Systems, ‘Collaborative
Design’ and Design Led Initiatives.
He is also Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Design, IIT Chicago.
Pfanner’s
work has been recognized in exhibitions such as the “National
Design Triennial” at the Cooper Hewit Museum and the ‘Workspheres’
exhibition at MOMA and in competitions such as: IDEA / Business
Week Awards, Good Design Awards, Industrie forum Hanover Awards
and I.D. Magazine Design Awards.

Scott Wilson
is an accomplished designer with over 10 years of experience developing
iconic, industry-leading products. His alternating
experience within three consulting firms and three global corporations
has provided him with the skills necessary to consistently deliver
compelling consumer concepts to market. The pervasive theme throughout
Wilson's work is the intimate relationship between the user and the
product. Wilson strives to create a balance within his products that
speak rationally and emotionally to the consumer, ultimately ensuring
a higher probability of market success and endurance. 
Formerly of IDEO Product Development, Thomson and ACCO, Wilson's current
mission is creating exciting futures for Nike as Creative Director
for their sport's technology group. Prior to and separate from Nike,
Wilson founded MOD (www.studiomod.com) whose focus is establishing
long-term collaborative relationships with design-sensitive and marketing-savvy
companies. MOD's first two products have already gained recognition
within the furniture industry at both the 2001 NEOCON exhibition and
the 2002 Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Wilson's work has spanned dozens of brands and a wide variety of industries.
His work has been internationally recognized in museums and competitions.
His work was exhibited in the first annual "National Design Triennial"
at the Cooper-Hewitt museum. He also has products in the MOMA, MCA
and Chicago Athenaeum museums. In 1999 alone he was recognized with
an ID Magazine Design Distinction, 3 Business Week IDEA Awards, 2
IF Industrie Hanover Awards, and 10 Good Design awards. In January
of 2000, ID Magazine selected the Top 40 Designers under 30. Wilson
was one of 4 product designer's from the US profiled.
